New in WorkBoardAI: KPIs

Christmas and New Year’s holidays aren’t the same without gifts. For many of you, this release will feel like one you have been waiting for. WorkBoard’s new KPI capability makes measuring what matters radically easier, giving every team clearer insight and a simpler way to stay aligned.

The new KPI module brings sharper visibility, smoother updates, and more meaningful performance conversations across the organization.

Create KPIs in seconds

Your WorkBoardAI KPI module provides a clean, intuitive creation panel accessible from the top navigation. You can now:

  • Name the KPI and define its owners or co-owners
  • Add a team to ensure the KPI shows up in the right workstreams
  • Choose measurement type (number or percentage)
  • Format targets and values
  • Set the monitoring style (tracking, stable, above/below target)
  • Define a data provider — you can update values manually or connect an external system like Jira, Hubspot, PowerBI or else

The new details view gives you everything you need to evaluate performance at a glance:

  • Current value with change-from-prior cadence
  • Target and last-updated timestamp
  • History tracking: add KPI values for past dates and instantly see a growing timeline
  • Richer narrative editing: add contextual insights
  • Comments: leave notes, collaborate with teammates, and manage conversations thread-style

Unified KPI list across OKRs and teams

To ensure consistency across your WorkBoardAI data, we've introduced a reusable KPI list component. It's now powering both your OKRs and Teams pages.

Once enabled by your company, the new My KPIs section appears beneath Objectives I Support or Follow. Here, you can:

  • See KPIs grouped by team
  • Collapse or expand sections for easier scanning
  • View the KPI’s current value, progress bar, and name
  • Hover to instantly update values through an inline editor
  • Click into the KPI name to open the right-side details pane

Teams pages

The same familiar experience appears in the new KPIs tab on each team:

  • KPIs load dynamically using the new shared component
  • Users can update values in-line
  • Clicking the KPI name opens the details side panel for deeper insights
